trying to get more punch off the start. have been through the whole forum and tried everything there is posted to get a good hole shot. i am lost on what my problem is. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What engine and do you still reverse in the trans?

Leaning the LSN,installing an FOC, proper adjustment on the slipper clutch and good 3 shoe main clutch should give you what you seek. You may need to richen the HSN to compensate some and watch the temps!

engine is a 2.5 and reverse is still there. i will try a new 3 shoe clutch. thanks

I would lose the reverse for sure. Lean the lsn a little bit, a three shoe clutch, and a better tuned pipe if you are still running the stocker, will all help with the low end. You can also go to a clutch bell with fewer teeth, or a spur gear with more teeth for more bottom end.

take the throttle bellcrank, turn it upside down so the longest arm is going to the carb. and replace the stock post ( plastic ) with an alu one. the plastic one tends to move around. then check the return spring, adjust it so it is as light as it can be but still close the throttle. also set the idle rpm higher than stock, but not so high as to make the truck roll at idle. all most for got a faster servo might help. how ever i dont know any thing about servos
