i have a traxxas smaxx with the trx 2.5 engine. when i try to race someone i always get of the line late. i have very slow acceleration. before i could do wheelies on demand buy not i can't. what could be wrong

engine tuning possibly. If thats not it get a higher tooth spur or CB for a snappier start but you lose a little top end.

Check the slipper gear, enigne tuning, clutches, forward / rev module clutches and diffs....

Plaid hit all the best starting points.

Slipper gear, it could have worn pegs. it needs to be tightened all the way down and backed of about 1/8 - 1/4 turn.

engine tuning, the low speed needle may be set too rich, try leaning it in 1/8 or less increments and see if it gets better.

clutches, check the clutch shoes and the inside of the bell.

What temps is the engine running at?
