When runnig my T-MAXX and I release the throttle to slow down and then gas it again it rev really high without accelerating.
If I release the gas and then hit it again it will catch and go. It does this qite often. Especially if rolling at a good rate of speed when I gas it. could this be my clutch? What would cause this?

I have removed the clutch and it doesn't seem to be glazed over really bad at all?????

:( I have tightend the spur gear all the way down and still have this problem.

Try flipping the reverse switch back and forth to make sure it is fully locked in forward. Check the reverse servo and linkage too, make sure none of it is loose.

Don't leave the slipper nut all the way tightened doen, back it off 1/4 turn. And like Maxximillion mentioned check the slipper pegs. I recommend adding the extra 6 so that you have all 12.

I had that happen too. I took some 80 grit sand paper and lightly sanded inside the clutch bell and a VERY little on the shoes. It worked great for me, just don't do too much or you'll be buying new shoes soon. (That was an old trick from my go karting days)

Oh yea, also make sure you don't have any oil in the clutch from a leaky front seal on the motor.

Also, check the mesh between your spur gear and clutch, and the condition of your spur. Do you run a plastic or metal spur? I had a similar problem, and the clutch bell was only contacting half of the spur.

Are there any unusual noises when this happens? Grinding or squeeling?
