Have a HPI rs4 with standard clutch and 1 speed tranny, what is the advantage of a slipper clutch, and exactly what is the difference? Also i have a OS .15 cvrx motor and when i had the two speed installed it would shred the spur gears after like an hour of bashing tried 2 setups, checked clearances and still no luck, finally removed it any suggestions?
Thanks in advance:confused:

Sorry about that Nitro was reading a parts list for an MT truck.... but what about centex clutchs ? what would be the advantage?
Thanks :stupid:

a centax clutch allows you to manually adjust the point at which it engages. This is a useful tool for pro racers, as it allows them to tailor the amount of wheelspin when accelerating to each track on the circuit. If you are just playing in parking lots, however, it wouldnt be a wise investment.

thanks Nitro you have been more than helpfull...i have been gearing toward racing and getting away from bashing so i think i will look into that centex

be warned, that the centax does offer lots of ease in adjusting the shift points, they are not cheap. You might be better off spending that money on some other hop ups that would help you as a racer, but in the end it is your money.
