hi guys.

today i ran the second tank for break in.
at some point my savage wouldnt go forward when aplying throttle.
it looks like the slipper clutch isnt engaging.
does this mean the nut is to loose?
the clutch was on standert setting.

the savage wil move forward when i turn the gear by hand. but as soon as i start the engine it just slips. and the savage wont go forward.

thnx

make shure the silper nut is all the way down. And if it is check your clutch shoes may be the spur gear got chewed up to these are the thing that i have found wat has happened to me.

ah thnx.. the nut isnt all the way down. maybe thats the prob. ill go screw it down tomorrow.
i think i didnt wreck a spur gear. when i turn it by hand it moves and workes normal.

thnx m8

Check your clutch shoes also if the problem countinues.

sorry for late reply on this one.
well it wasn't the slipper clutch at al. i posted another thread. was the golden clutch collet that was stripped. it made the flywheel turn with out engaging the clutch shoe's or crackshaft. very weird. no one seems to have had this problem.

btw thnx for the replys all.
