So my picco .26 seems to be melting the center of spur gears with the stock slipper clutch set up. Will the upgraded slipper alleviate this problem? The spur gear that comes with the upgrade kit looks different than the stock ones so I am guessing that I will have to run this style, correct? Can I get these gears in the stock 32p so I don't have to upgrade the CB? The answer to these questions and any information about this upgrade kit would be appreciated. Thanks.

i'm set up same as you but have not run it yet with the pico so i'll be watching this thread. what about running a metal spur gear ? good or bad ?

if your running the stock 2.5 slipper clutch with the pegs, then upgrade to the new 3.3 set up. It's much better and stronger. Plus it's not very expensive. BUT i would be interested to know if you have it adjusted correctly. Tighten it all they way and back it out 1/4 of a turn. maybe it is slipping too much

It is slipping to much that is what is causing it to melt the center of the gear. I tightened it all the way then backed it out about 3/16 of a turn so it is slightly tighter than it is supposed to be. This is with 12 new slipper pegs. I had planned to upgrade to the new slipper set up anyway but I just had a few Qs about the spur gears I would be using.

EDIT: is that going to hold better than the stock set up?
