just put a O.S. 21tm in my jato. BUT the slipper clutch will not hook up. i have the slipper set as tight as it will go, spring is bottomed out. and ether the tires spin, or slipper slips. iam thinking of locking the slipper by running the spur gear bolts through hole clutch. what think?

Try scuffing the slipper pads a little, and make sure the plates aren't glazed.

My old nitro sport was the old version without a slipper clutch. From my experience with it,I don't think you want to go the solid gear route

i just put the slipper together. with a stiffer spring and sanded the plate and pads. i hope to have it running Friday. if all else fails i can readjust the throttle to only open half way. i dont under stand myself. on one hand i want lots of power, on the hand i dont like breaking parts. thanks for the info. edit: 7-14. i have been to lazy to go out in the heat. so we will have to wait.

well i got it. but it was NOT easy. i have butchered it so bad ,i can't put back. i do have it done, BUT not ran it yet. it was very hard, i do NOT recommend doing it. yet. 7-20-11 well did get it started inside, ran good and the drive-train turned good. didnt get it on the ground, cause temp was 100-105

well i finally got the locked slipper going. a locked slipper does NOT WORK. it will BREAK THE STOCK gears, you MOST use the stock slipper. now i have to get some new gears. do not use solid slipper, it will strip the gears

i can not remember. i just had a small stroke 2 weeks a go. iam doing lots better now.

wow sorry to here that!!!! your doing better thats good!!! You back to normal?? playing with rc's ,working and living??? That is definetly a scary f##king thing to go through.

Hope your feeling better bud! Something to check is your one way bearing in the trans. It acts like your slipper is slipping! I had trouble with mine this summer. Got a rebuild kit for the slipper, same thing. It would work for about 5 min then start slipping. After a while it started slipping right away, it was the one way bearing. Comes in a kit #5593, with the shaft. Hope you get it fig out!

i just had a stroke 2 weeks ago. it wasn't bad i just couldn't say the words i wanted to say. thats why the posts i have made are so craze. but i am going to be ok. now if i get upset t have trouble, but if i dont get upset i am ok. have had tests, but i am much better.

I would like to try one of the OS .21TM engines in my Revo. I have a 3.3 in mt Jato and it is just about too much power honestly. Just makes it silly and does 30 MPH wheelies. However that is how I like it too so it is all good. However, Any more power and it would be undrivable. Trade ya a pair of 3.3s for your OS...lol.

Oh yeah...Moe take it easy man that stuff is back for you. Glad to hear you are getting better though.

thank for the nice words, i also had trouble with my computer. iam not sure more power is good. iam still trying to sort things out. i made solid slipper clutch, it striped the gears. i think its best to just learn to tune. or run more nitro.
