I'm hooking up the linkage to my picco .26 and the linkage will move a centimeter or 2 and them go to far and go back and be closed again. Is there any way to adjust so it works or make it work correctly.need this truck for some races tomorrow.

not sure if I follow you correctly, does it only move a millimeter or two. 2 centimeters is nearly an inch which is beyond the travel of the carb. Also does it hesitate after the millimeter or 2? maybe it's binding a bit before the servo can push it past. Check your linkiage for bent rods or excessive grit.

Ya millimeter it opens then moves to far and gets stuck? This is a parts truck I got running and move my picco .26 to and the carb slid linkage post doesn't move easy.

ya didnt have time to get one and a video would have done better. i got a rpm roller and put on aluminum bulks and a picco .26 jl red dot, ofna violator tank, some bead locks, and cleaning took me from 6pm to 11pm. gonna fly at the track

Get some pics up.

Good to see other TMaxx's for inspiration.

Having problems with it again and can't get it to open up completely to be hitting full throttle. Anyone have ever this problem?

If you can open up the slide without the linkage hooked up I would look at the way you have it set up if all that is fine and if your using a 2.4ghz radio check to see if your end points are set wrong and reset them if all that checks out replace the servo

The small linkage that goes from the pivot to the slide is most likely too short. Unthread the ball cup some and then adjust properly. Just dont unscrew the cup too much or else it'll pull out.

I found that if I turned the horn on the bell crank post over I got more adjustment. The part that was connected to the control rod is slightly longer than the horn to the carb, by turning it over I got full control.

Hope this makes sense.

First I would get 4 2x8x2.5mm bearings & get rid of the plastic bushing's in the throttle bellcrank & non~saver side steering arm(both cause problems).
The throttle bellcrank should be really smooth when it rotates.

If your not getting enough throw you can adjust the the ball cup end that attaches to the carb or you can use the outter 2 holes in the servo arm for more throw.

The outer hole has the most throw the inner has the least throw.

Sorry for late reply.

Here's a quick snapshot. This is in the way I got the truck stock, if you look at it, one of the levers is longer than the other. I flipped it over so the longer lever was connected to my throttle slide and the shorter one to my servo.

Now I get full movement, my throttle bell crank doesn't nearly become straight (with a risk of locking open). It worked very well for me.

On initial fitment, carb alignment had to be tweaked as I wasn't getting much movement either. However even after spinning the carb round slightly and trying to increase throttle end point, I still couldn't get full throttle. I hadn't really noticed the other mounting holes in the servo horn, however I feel on my setup if I had of gone into the other hole on the horn for greater movement, then my bell crank would of been pulled too far round and become locked out straight.

Hope you get a satisfactory setting. The .26 engine is certainly quick.

ok,here we go.take off your horn and loosen your collars, take off your linkage at the ball on your carb.adjust your idle aboult the thickness of a ziptie.turn on your radio and set the trim to 0,turn your truck on hook up your carb linkage, put ypur linkage at the carb but do not tighten the collars install the horn leaving room for adjustment, slide the collar to the horn and tighten it.If the carb dont open all the way take off your ball linkage and unscrew the ball.and one more thing when i put my rb engine on my maxx i had to get a longer linkage cause it had a longer carb slide i dont know aboult the picco, and no post aboult my spelling, lol

It looks like you have a big crack under the HSN, if it is, that's no good. Does your radio have an EXPO setting, programmable? If it does then just use it to get more throw.

Yes, your right. I had a decent sized crack, this was on my Trx3.3 though.

I'll look into the throttle Expo. I have a 4907 TMaxx with the 2.4Ghz radio?
