Does anyone own a slayer? I just wanted to know if its a decent rc. I was thinking about getting a Slayer or a Revo in spring. I know about the Revo but have never heard much on the Slayer. Any drivers info would be nice-Jimi
 
Depends on what your doing. Traxxas makes their vehicles durable. Good for bashing but also is very good for racing. The Revo is very good for racing. I also heard that Traxxas vehicles need more maintenance but I dont know if that is true. Just research on the slayer, and soon you will be able to decide.
 
The Slayer is a nitro short course version of a Revo. Traxxas vehicles are fairly tough out of the box and require no more maintenance than any other nitro truck.
 
The slayer would be for the new nitro shortcourse class at the lhs. I just wanted to know if it handels alright, and If it is a problematic model. Also I have worked on/drove many revo's so they are nothing new.
 
I dont care how it is out of the box. I own many Traxxas vehicles.. I want to know if the revo suspension works well on a short course truck.
 
I was born in Fond Du Lac and lived there till 2009 I moved to Wausau. My grandparents live in Seymour and most of my family. So I have been in Green Bay a lot. I baught my T Maxx 3.3 at hobbytown in greenbay.
 
The revos are obviously gonna handle nicer than the slayer because of the much wider width. Except, if your are going to be racing with the slayer in just dirt, and not onroad you will be fine. The new slayer pros are actually a little bit wider than the older slayers. The revo suspension will handle any height jump fine. I used to have a 3.3 and now have an e-revo and love it. The revo-type suspension is far superior than any other kind on the market (IMHO). If I was you, I would definitely buy the slayer, I'm sure you'll love it!
 
I can vouch for the Slayer. I've loved it for bashing, and I'm looking into racing. I can say that it is a little bit of a bitch for rollovers, but with the sway bar kit and the A arms from the pro 4x4 help that alot
 
I actuly post in the Revo forum because when I got my truck, no one was really active in the short course forum
 
I picked up a slayer pro and a Picco .26, I have been tweaking and moving stiff on the chassis. I'm maxed out till payday haha I have over 1000 in to my nirtros in less than a week :whhooo:
