Who else has one? I put the Integy 3 shoe clutch on it (only option), the motor-saver air filter, and the sway bar kit on it. Its been running like a champ and is great on fuel.

What other parts are good for this truck? I am going to replace the servo's pretty soon but thats not paramount right now.

This has to be one of the funnest trucks to run!

picked up the RPM rear carriers for it today. LHS had them. ( i love being close to a hs now) $37 for 2 rear carriers, all bearings, delrin bushings and whatever else comes in that little bag.

Gotta get this thing ready for the g2g so i can trade it for someone else's truck......

the only thing bad about the slayer is it rolls so easy. I've never driven one but my slash rolls over so easy

It does roll over EXTREMEMLY easy. I put some tires and rims on it and was messin around with it at the hobby shop, had it comin up quick, as soon as it shifted into 2nd gear the front end started comin up and sure enough, backflip. I've already has some nasty spills, WAY overshot a jump and slammed into the gaurd-rail, breaking my radio box in the process. Will Revo parts work on my truck: skid plates, rocker arms, etc.

Yes, for the most part. Most of the truck is a direct copy of the Revo.

BTW your ride height seems to be high. Might wanna lower it a little and get a sway bar kit. Mine hardly ever rolls over anymore. Oh and if your suspension starts to drag or not move fast anymore, check the pins on the A-arms. I managed to bend mind on a hard crash and made the movement of the Arms sluggish.

Just wondering why you said the integy 3 shoe was the only option, there are several clutch options.

I have one did some of the traxxas setup sheet and omg its way better waiting on my center diff to come that should make it alot better on the track. Also need some new rims 3 of mine are cracked like whoa. Thinking of doing 17mm adapters and SC8 rims and tires.

thats what the lhs had 3 minutes before closing. Thats why it was my only option.

Yeah i followed most of the setup sheet also and made a huge improvement. Still a little twitchy steering, but i think i just need to change the toe a little.

this may b a dumb q but how tight does that nut on the clutch and spur gear need to b?

I freaking love my Slayer. I'm waiting for it to arrive to me here in Iraq, but I got to bash it a bunch in the states while I was on leave. I've already ordered performance parts for it, new shocks, sway bar kit, lighter fluid for the front diff, etc. I plan on racing it at the track here where I stay. Only thing I'm waiting on is the center diff, and rear brake kit. Not sure what tires I want to try and run yet, so stock for now.

On road its easy as hell to roll, but off road its not bad stock. Once I get my new stiffer suspension on, lower the ride height and install the sway bar kit I'm sure I will fix most of the traction rolling issues, for off road at least. Then I can start tuning it for good lap times at my track.

The Slayer is just a blast to drive!

A traxxas slayer is basicly the revo 2.5.Same frame therefore any revo parts will fit.I converted all the suspention on my friends slayer to the revo suspention.
