I guess I'll start it. :)
On my Slash (all stock) I run 40wt in the front shocks and 45wt in the back.
Run the front shocks on the outside holes of a-arms and the backs at stock position.
Also run a 1/4in piece of fuel tubing on the back shocks so it doesn't bottom out off jumps also helps for tires not rubbing on body.
I have had great luck with this setup, but looking to build a set of shocks with the RPM two stage pistons to see if I can get any better performance. :thumbup1:

Brushless slash, 30wt all around, stiffer rear springs from carson, and shocks in standard position.
Haven't really had much fun since, because of the weather.
but first time at the beach it handle's better imo.
Everyone wants a different setup i think.

The other benefit from adding the fuel tubing to the shock shaft outside of the shock body, is that the stock plastic shock shafts do not pop off.

Huh, that's a really good idea. I may have to try that for this weekends bashing. Thanks for the tip!

I just have a set of TeamBluestar aluminum shocks with 45w oil all around and stiff springs. Front sets are in the inside hole mounts and the rear sets are in the second from the outside hole mounts.

I have used that one for years on my Stampede. Have not had a plastic cap pop since.

First slash setup for stock racing. Track is tight with one long straight. Track is medium bite early on but becomes loose and dusty so I'd say medium to loose track surface.

Stock body trimmed slightly to avoid body contact but still looks stock, stock wheels and tires, stock motor and ESC. Stock gearing. Truck has very good rear grip. There is a mild push in corners that can be overcome with a blip of the throttle making this truck very easy to drive fast on medium surface tracks. Flies nice and level and only bottoms on the largest jump.

FRONT- Stock springs, 40WT oil, Shock in outer hole on Arm, 1/4 preload spacer, 2 degrees camber.

REAR - Stock springs, 30WT oil, Shock in Second hole from end of arm, no pre-load spacer, 2.5 degrees of camber, Stock tires flipped so the tread is backwards.

slash setup for mod racing. STILL IN PROGRESS Same track as listed above.

Stock body trimmed slightly to avoid body contact but still looks stock, Large hold cut in windshield to aid in cooling. Proline Bowties on stock front wheels at all 4 corners, VXL motor and ESC, ESC relocated to right side of chassis. Traxxas Alum Carriers and steering, 2S 5000 Zippy Lipo. All other parts stock.

FRONT- Stock springs, 50WT oil, Shock in outer hole on Arm, 1/4 preload spacer, 2 degrees camber.

REAR - Stock springs, 40WT oil, Shock in outer hole on arm, no pre-load spacer, 2.5 degrees of camber. Proline Bowties mounts on stock traxxas front wheels for slightly wider track.

This setup is still being refined. I've gotten the setup dialed in to the point where the truck is neutral in most corners and hooks up very well down the straights (wheelies sometimes) and jumps very well without bottoming out.

Currently looking for more traction in 180 degree and other slow corners as hooking up the power of the VXL when to truck is not perfectly flat is proving to be a challenge. Things I'm considering are a sway bar on the front, Lighter oil in the rear shocks or maybe swapping out the front prolines for stock tires for a little more push in the corner.

Any chance u guys can take a pic of the fuel tubing on the shocks. I'm interested in trying that out
