Sky wants a buggy...

Sky - not sure if you read my post, but depending where you go, you can get a K2 for 600 or less.

That's 600, I remember at one online store they had it for 570. (couldn't find it in my history...) You just have to look/shop around.

But yeah if you've already decided, the X5 is nice. Make sure you buy an extra ackermann plate for it, because there is a bug in that they bend real easy. The quick fix right now is to buy a second plate, get longer screws, and use a pair of them stuck together - that way it takes a lot more to bend it.

I'm sure there will be racers edge/hardcore options real soon though, if there aren't already.

id hate to contradict, but most upgrades in the K2 are for durabilty, nothing in there helps weight or CG over the regular 7.5. (most of the changes actually make it weigh more) Handling is improved/changed by 22deg hubs and LSD's, everything else is the same.

Durability is enhanced with thicker 3.5mm shockshafts, 7075 shock towers, longer and harder turnbuckles, 7075 hingepin holders front and rear, included front chassis brace, yadda yadda the list goes on.

the regular 7.5 is nice, but for a few bucks more, the X5 probably comes with more nice stuff out of the box. Also 500 is dumb for a regular 7.5, you can pick them up for 350 or less.

The Racer's Edge parts are out and Mugen has released their hop-up parts also.

Thanks for the info on the Kanai II. I appreciate the feedback.

I think I'll be looking at the LHS, as I do not do credit cards and they are kind of integral to the whole online shopping scene. I'll have to get familiar with the anatomy of a buggy to figure out what exactly an ackerman plate is.

Now...putting on the mod hat...it is one thing to crap all over each other in someone's thread and have to hear about it third hand, but to see it happening in my own thread...that is just plain stupid. Humboldt...you did right by taking it to the flames section of the site. Let's keep it there. One more come hither from you to Udi and the posts go away, and I give you a stern talking to.

Udi', yes I have read your posts and appreciate the information. Regardless of your track record (not talking about racing either), information is best when shared. If you think Humboldt's targeting you then ignore him (that is what the function is for). If you choose to fight back, take it to the flames section...and keep it there. Crapping on my thread with your response to him is not a wise thing to do. Consider yourself warned.
