skidplates and motors question
I think people have asked this question numerous times..but its coming time for winter and I am gonna tear my maxx down and beef it up. I was looking at the rc-solutions skid plates https://tp-commerce.techpro.com/rcsolutions/shopexd.asp?id=4 for my maxx front and rear. I know people say to go w/ al cause it bends to easily. But does anyone have these and how well do they work compared to say RPM skids. I just do general bashing w/my truck (curbs, front tires on 1-1 veh. stuff like that..lol) but havnet gotten it to the point of taking it off huge jumps yet. sorry so long winded. Thanks for any help.

p.s. also what would a good replacement motor be on that I could just pretty much drop in. I was thinking sirio but have heard that once they get their money they dont really care, also the website says no warranty its aracing motor they can last 1/2 season to afew hrs. I need one that will last a while anyone know ofa good motor?...my 2.5 is fine now but the extra power is fun.
