What skid plate have you guys found to be the best option I just got my new Savage 4.6 and I can see that is something I want to do righ away. Whats your advise

I used the one by RPM on my old Savage and have one installed on my sons Flux. Light weight, inexpensive and gets the job done.

Are you speaking of a Center Skid Plate or the Skid Plates under the diffs on each end propping up the bumpers?

for the center one i sort of made my own out off aluminum sheet i found and its really really tough so I'm happy with it.. but it doesn't bolt up it actually wedges in there so its some what sketchy but so far it hasnt fallen out and has taken serious beating
