I searched more and it said the Tx-.18 was direct replacement for the 2.5. And for the 2.5 for the older maxx u have to get a conversion kit.

Here are the things you'll need to convert your Pro .15 to the Sirio .18:
-2.5 conversion kit - $45
-air filter (get the Motor Saver that fits the 2.5)- $20
-flywheel nut - $0.44 (get it from Home Depot, it's 7mm. Traxxas charges $7-$8)
-one way bearing for the 2.5 - $20
-pullstart - $20 (or EZ Start 2, because the EZ Start that came with the Pro .15's wont fit.)
Have fun, that Sirio is a kick-ass engine.

Ok just for all that conversion I don't have the money. How can I afford a sirio???!!!???:flaming:

Gilbe laid it out VERy well for ya bro. No one ever said this was a cheap hobby. If your currently running the Trx .15 Pro.......the .18 is immensely better in low and mid but especially top end speed. The Sirio .18 will even smoke the chit out of the Trx 2.5 which will smoke the chit out of a non Mod'd Trx .15 pro.

Peace

Sorry, but the .18 engines are a direct drop in on the old and the new T-Maxx. You do not need a conversion kit to make an .18 work. The rest of the stuff on the list looks fine.

You may find that you need to beef up your drive train when you move from the TRX Pro .15 to any .18 sized engine. More power means more chance to screw up your drive train.
