hey I'm going 2 upgrade 2 the sirio .18 3.0
if you have done this *TO AN OLDER .15 TMAXX* could you give me some info?
also i have a mip stinger kit now and i dont think thats going to work on the sirio :fro: so i will porobly have to buy a new exaust ppl i need hepl and info on exactly how 2 do this i kno its a drop ijn for the 2.5 maxx but the .15 like i have will need a little help and I'm not the biggest expert on this stuff he;lp would be appreciated!!:hi:

my buddy went from a .15 to a 2.5 on His maxx. all he had to do was drill 3 holes in the chassis for the linkage post.

Id think it would be the same for a sirio.
Then all you need is the linkage and you should be set.

I have a sirio on my new maxx. if you need any pic's let me know

It'll cost you around $350 tax included to do the whole conversion. I've got the Sirio .18 (8 port) in my first gen T-maxx. It's a great engine. The bottom end of the engine isn't where this engine shines (it's better, but comparable to my ported out .15 pro), it's the top-end where the real difference is. The engine SCREAMS!
Here's about what I spent:

Engine- $199.
2.5 conversion kit - $45
air filter - $20
flywheel nut - $0.44 (home depot special-- 7mm if you need one)
one way bearing - $20
pullstart - $20
Plus some odds and ends i can't think of now.....

In addition to the stuff listed in the last post...

if you're planning on sticking with the easy start system instead of a pull, you'll have to buy the easy start-2. first gen won't work.

i also picked up the carb-arm from the 2.5 engine. it's a little thinner than the one that comes with the Sirio, and made it a little easier to clear/not hit the spur gear nut, since at WOT, the carb arm gets _really_ close to the spinning nut.

as far as low end torque, get the sirio big bore pipe. that, in combination with with the MS filter, is amazing for low end.... i get wheelies on full throttle blips 95% of the time (makes it hard to launch at WOT on concrete/grass sometimes, but cool nonethess).

Ohh yeah, forgot to mention the Sirio Pipe.....a definate must have. It's incredible how much more power you'll get from that pipe. If you have the Sirio .18 in your Maxx, you NEED to have the Sirio pipe as well!!
