would i be able to buy a sirio .18 for my 2.5 maxx? i heard something about trinity not making them anymore? is this true? if so what other engine could i get that has alot of performance but drops in?

The sirio .23 has some major power. It drops in the stock chassis. If you have the money, its worth it!

Sirio .18 is discontinued. You can still get them at ebay, or you might want to consider sirio .23 (more buck - suggested by .21Rc10GT) or O.S. .18 TM.

does discontinued mean that they dont make them anymore? also i heard about the sirio.23 but its expensive and on top of that i would probaly have to upgrade my gears and driveline so that more money. i want something around the price of the sirio .18 but has around the same performance. please help.

Have you looked into the OS .18? I hear those are great engines. The sirio .23 is one of the best choices, but if you don't have the money, i suggest you save up.

what about the picco p2? I'm only 15 yo. it would take a good while before i had enough for the engine alone. isnt it like 300? any more suggestions? i will look into the o.s.

Alright, this may sound like a dumb question....but why do you want to replace the TRX 2.5? A .23 in a T-Maxx is a waste (my opinion) you will spend a fortune upgrading the driveline and gain what? Most people can't handle the power of a pro .15 yet alone the TRX 2.5. Your hard earned $ could be more wisely spent.

All my opinions of course.

Mr T

The P2 is a good engine, but a lot of them have had problems with air leaks and holding tunes. Some people have not had these problems and they swear by their life it is a great engine. I think its worth a try. They are around $200. I believe all of the stuff bolts right up to it. I would ask the parents if there was any work that needed to be done, thats what i did! I cleaned bathrooms and mowed lawns. I help neighbors trim trees and shovel dirt. anything i could do to help.

lol. yeah I've heard a few bad things about the picco. and mr. t-maxx thats what i was saying about the .23. that i didnt want to have to buy an expensive engine but then upgrade the driveshafts and tranny. can someone give me a link to the os .18 for 2.5 maxx plz?

i mean the new os .18 tm not the old one.

would the os .18 even compare to the sirio .18? its a pretty reasonable price too.

could you give me alink to the cheapest os .18 tm you can find plz.

I've run both the OS and Sirio, both are good engines, the OS seems to have a little more power and top-end, in my experience. My Sirio has great mid-range. You can still get the Sirio for the OG Maxx, and you can get the OS CVR-X from Tower for $99. Both have a rotary carb, and you would need a clutch nut, but they pretty much drop in. I preffer a rotary carb for off-road myself.
