single shock setup

I have seen some pictures on here where guys are running just 1 shock per wheel instead of 2. This appeals to me, because I have already bent the shaft or broke the top mounting hole on 3 stock shocks, and would like to upgrade. It looks like everyone that runs that single shock setup that I have seen runs an all metal shock, where mine is plastic. Can anyone shed some light on a brand or certain spring or spring rate that can be used to run single shocks per wheel and get the same or better performance than the stock 2 per wheel setup? thanks,

search E-Bay for OFNA Supershocks use 2 sets of rears...those are the same thing ass the UE shocks everyone likes at half the price.....

Most people running a single shock set up have very light trucks. I have read that it is only recommended for trucks that weigh 7 lbs or less.

My truck weighs roughly 12lbs (just weighed it) and i have no problem with the 4 UE shocks! The springs hold the truck up with no prob and they are really heavy duty...

I run 4 UE shock on a savage. No problem...

I just saw your truck and that is a sweet azz ride! The beadlocks look very nice, Where can I find the UA shocks?

I got my UE shocks on Ebay... they were $50 shipped with the motherlode rebuild kit.. Awesome deal.
