Any recomendations on doing this, or is it better to leave all 8 shocks. I was thinking of getting heavier springs and taking out the shocks on the inside if each corner.

Basically to make it easier to work on the truck, and adjust the suspension.

dude you posted twice! I am interested in this Mod but don't post twice. Have a mod delete one.

The mods have been notified of the duplicate and he may have done it by accident give him the benifit of the doubt here.

Sorry dude. I am interested in this since I have a maxx too. I saw it on Skymaxx's Maxx. Wondering what shocks to use. I did. I just thought my post wasn't recorded when I saw the second thread.

I only posted once, I think what happened was I hit the back button by accident. I use other forums and it wont repost but, ohh well, the mods have been notified.

I would like to know what shocks work better for this modification also. I am going to my local hobby shop tonight and I am getting some heavier springs so I can see how it works.

the Mugen shocks are better because they are bigger in diameter. I would use stiff Mugen springs also.

WHat weight shock oil should be used? Are there any other preparations that should be done for this mod?THanks

i was thinkin about doin it, using the Supermaxx shocks or the OFNA 1/8th scale buggy shocks. 80 wt shock oil and a set of pretty firm springs. Olds did it to his .21 t-maxx, I'm sure he will post somethin

later

get the supermaxx shocks. they are ment to be used only 1 in each corner, they also come with an assortment of springs

The SuperMaxx shocks are buggy shocks.

I used one buggy shock per corner on my Savage, the T-Maxx had a full complement of eight shocks.

I use Mugen MBX rear buggy shocks. They are big bores and rock.

The supermaxx shocks are pretty good. I have a set of 4 on my 21 maxx and they seem to be holding up well.

Go to this site: http://www.hobbyshopnj.com/monmaxx.html

And look for this stuff:
SuperMaxx Shocks/Knuckle Head
Shock Tower Combo!

(4 Shocks & 2 Towers)

LOL...great advertisement dude. As those shocks are basically 1/8 scale buggy shocks with some extras, I'd say they are not completely unique. I can probably find the 1/8 scale buggy shock that matches it and then find the same progressive rate springs. I might even be able to find said items for less than the SuperMaxx shocks. So be careful before proclaiming them as a one of a kind ultimate upgrade.

I just did a copy paste... hind sight, it does look kind of stupid. Their site isn't the easiest to browse through. They don't have a search function like a lot of sites. I'll edit it.

Gotcha. It just looked like you were using your own words. It was well written and very pro-SuperMaxx. Nice edit, and nice recommendation.
