Determination and force drying the paint I'm sure it will turn out well. Can't wait to see it done.:D If all else fails make sure the camera is out of focus!LOL

Two coats of red, still not done....

Okay looking, I guess. I still prefer the clear coat look. j/k Looking good so far.

So I've been drying the paint as fast I can, laid two coats of the final color, going to dry that, then lay down some FasCoat. Final pics will be up tonight!

Oh man she is so SINISTER! Nicely done indeed! can't friggin wait to get my lid your making me totally jealous!

Couple of minor flaws, some paint peeled off the skull, but overall, I like it

Next time I do one color, or I get a wrap. After the first race it already started splitting where I make my cuts in the liquid mask. Kinda irate about that.

Aw damn, I missed the finished photos. Nice work Bill.

Don't sweat it bro. I've been painting for a number of years now and I still have a bad habit of pressing too hard with the knife. Eventually I just got numb to the destruction. I can spend 20 hours on a body and destroy it in 5 minutes. As a matter of fact, the front clip of my Cuda snapped completely off last weekend due to the same issue. I used strapping and packaging tape to put it back on just this morning...

After today I'm pretty much done with aftermarket bodies. now it's cracking behind the front fenders. I didn't even cut there! I ran five races on it, and I hate it. For now on, I'll just buy replacement stock bodies. For the time and money I stuck into this one, it's not even worth it.

I hate stock bodies. I absolutely must put my own flavor on my cars. Even my simplistic paint bodies (the gray Mazda) get a lot of positive attention at the local track. My mazda actually held up quite a bit better and got abused more I think. Now granted my cars were all over the place on the track and I can honestly say 98% of their battle scars are due to my inability to drive them cleanly. The cleaner/smarter you drive the less damage you'll incur I figure.

Great job Alien! Turned out awesome.

Yeah I can't run stock but the Rockstar lid my Losi came with I would run all day long, for the most part besides that I have to run my flava flav, mine has some starter cracks in the rear where the rear slips over the rear bumper, but I still love it to death

I usually do two of a given shell. One to look pretty while it's sitting and the other to beat the snot out of (simpler paint job)

Thought about it, and maybe I'll do more aftermarket bodies, but I refuse to buy another Pro-Line body. Next time I'll try JConcept, and I'll use tape to mask or I'll do one-color paint jobs. Maybe paint masks instead.
