I fear i may have cranked my losi lst2 mach427 up too high and siezed it up. Does anyone know if it is cheaper (or even possible) to re-build it , or should I just purchase a new engine?
Thanks

Take the engine apart to see why it has seized up. Is it because of a broken connecting rod or something else?

If anything it could be a good learning experience!!
I have owned a lot of different engines and I have never taken one apart past removing the cooling head and carb. (I know that is sad... I have an HPI .25 that I am going to strip down soon.)

maybe running to leaning is the answer

you say its sized

can you pull pullstarter and does it make a pop noise just after hitting tdc

my seized engine

I havent started stripping it yet , but it's not a pull start...If i can't rebuild it, do I need to take the type of start mechanism into account when purchasing a replacement engine ,or is that a seperate part?.(it uses a hand held electric spin starter, by the way)

Yes you need to make sure that the back plate on your Mach will fit on the new mill.

It is rebuildable unless there is too much damage, you need to tear it down and find the problem.

Good Luck!
