Well since I've bought my XTM X-cellerator, I've been thinking of a way to be able to fit a real body on it. I was looking through a thread a few minutes ago about side body mounts. Do you think that this will work? The only reason why i can't use the stock mounts is because the springs are higher than the body mounts, so the body has to dip down after the springs. It would probably be near impossible to find a body that would fit without me having to cut it.

Here is a picture of the chassis of my XTM:

The green bits are where i think the mounts could go.

I can still use the front stock mounts because the body should be able to fit on them.

Do you think that it would work? I use the car for bashing, so it needs to be quite strong.

Thanks:D

I'd say go for it. Just try and use something that would break before the chassis. Maybe reinforce that area of the chassis some how. Rectangular plastic inside and out that matches the chassis with brass bolts? Drill some holes in them for the clips.
