I was checking for air leaks using the technique on Horizon Hobbies site.

When I blow into the fuel line theres a ton of air coming out under the silcon dust boot covering the carb slide valve. If I close the throttle it stops.

I'm guessing that shoudn't happen(?). The HPI seal kit and manual doesn't seem to show any O-Rings on the slide valve, so how does one fix this? The only options I can see are:
1. New Slide Valve
2. Try to seal the boot shut

Thanks

A small amount of high temperature automotive grease on the carb slide and inside the slide bellows works for me.

YMMV.

The dust boot will seal well under a small vacuum, which is what it normally experiences. When you pressurize it, it will expand enough to let air out. It's not designed to withstand internal pressure and under normal operation, it doesn't have to.
