I can't find out how to make a poll, but these days its a hot topic saying Merry Christmas in stores and such. As I hope we all know and accept, there are other faiths other then the one you follow.....

Man can we be more PC for all?? Really its Woodies decision. Hell why isn't it in my native language or anyone else's? Too much to please please people.

Oh Good God, is this really happening? Should it be Happy RamaHanaQuanzmas?

And another note. I don't see our Christmas header. Is it me or has it been changed?

I just wanted to see what everyone thinks about it...

Uh oh, me thinks this could get ugly, fast!

Frankly, I think the beat of the PC drum has gotten too loud and been going on too long! Everyone that says "Merry Christmas" to someone else starts to feel real nervous about whether or not they are offending that person and it's silly.

Sure, I acknowledge and freely accept that there are people of other faiths and beliefs, but I do not feel it is my duty to make sure I am not offending someone by wishing them a "Merry Christmas". If someone is offended by my well wishes because they may not necessarily celebrate the holiday, that's their problem, not mine, simply because my intent is not to offend.

Frankly, I'm getting sick and tired of tripping over myself in what I say or believe in the hopes I do not accidentally offend someone. No one seems to give a hoot about possibly offending me.

Wood, don't change it (unless you want to). It's your site and if you want to have "Cram it up your cramhole, LeFleur" it's your right to do so!

This is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Stupid thing is that the PC brigade don't realise that NO other faith is offended by Christmas!

Its been Christmas for years, so why change it now??.. Foreighners expect us to change EVERYTHING to accomodate them?? I think its pretty sick that they can't even say the pledge of alligance in school anymore. What a disgrace.

I could get in a heated discussion on this holiday but I will refrain. If you have a problem with the banner saying "merry Christmas" than please PM a staff member and will be taken from there...

Evan811,

As the site owner and designer and of course the one that created the new header image I feel obligated to reply to your comment.

First let me say I do respect anyone's and everyone's religion, with that said I'd also like to remind you this is a personally owned and operated website which means RCNT does not have to worry or bow down to all this political correctness that I personally feel has gotten way out of hand, but that's a whole other topic. This also means I'm pretty much allowed to do as I please and how I please so long as I don't break any laws and last I checked saying Merry Christmas is not against the law.

While I don't do it for the purpose of offending anyone, I can say this - If for some reason you or anyone else is offended by my "Merry Christmas" then the only advice I can give you is to either ignore it, or come see us after Christmas when the banner will be changed back to the normal design.

If this isn't the kind of answer you was hoping for then please by all means PM me, I'd be happy to discuss this further with you.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

-Michael
