RC Driving Style
I currently own a T-Maxx that has been thouroughly converted into an MP-Maxx (money-pit).

I want something tough but will not cost me a pile of money to fix. I'm seriously considering buying a Savage 25 because I want a truck that's strong and isn't so valuble I don't want to drive it.

Should I buy it or make the maxx bulletproof?
 
Get The Savage 25. I Got One I Bash It Like Crazy And Its Holded Up Very Well.

make the maxx bullet proof... youve obveiously been through alot with it and you can spend the money that you would on a savage and put it into streanthining your maxx

save your money and buy a savage. personally i dont think its worth the money to have a over hoped up t-maxx. i have a savage and you can beat the crap out of it and worry about breaking stuff.
 
I am a converted Savage runner and I would encourage you to strongly consider getting the Savage. I had a Maxx for 3 years and switched to the Sav 4.6 this spring. I have to say I like it a lot more than the maxx. It has stood up to everything I have thrown at it so far. I love it.

I think i'm going to go ahead and buy the savage when I get some more money together.
 
Make it one more for the Savage. I've had up to three T-Maxxes at once. I still have one, but only because I have insane money in it that I could never recover. But when I go to grab a truck it's always the Savage, the maxx has become a backup truck.
 
The Savage is the winner in the tough truck category.
I have owned them all.

You will probably spend more bullet proofing your Maxx, then to buy a new Savage.
 
The savage by far, if you are already calling the Maxx a "MP" Maxx, Imagine what it will cost to make it bullet proof. I had a savage for a year and only broke a gas tank and one suspension arm. Best truck out there IMO.
 
i had 2 tmaxx and now i got a savage and i just love it, it really does takes a beating and still goes, not even the bumpers brake, and i'm not the best driver either.

count mine too.....get a savy man..can't go wrong with it.
 
Have you thought about parting out your maxx? Youve got some good hop ups on that thing. Should be able to come up the money quickly doing that.
 
I wouldn't be able to get all my money out of the maxx. I'm gonna keep it and wait till I earn some more money. Hopefully, best buy will call me with a job.
 
One more vote for the Savage. About $150 on mine since last year. Still don't have much brakes, but haven't did the linkage mod.
 
digger do you have a hump pack and high torqe servos?? those help the brakes and steering ATOL!!!
