my friend is selling his tmaxx for $100 but dont start. and what should i look for? do you think i should buy it?

it could be any of the modles if you had a pick that would help. if it has the ez-start it could be in that or it could be a bad motor all together.

THink about it

if your that new, you might want to think about buying new. Dont let the headaches of an old truck turn you off to the hobby! Plus the learning curve is ind of high

If it has the short suspension I would not buy it but if it is the longer suspension I would consider it, because if you buy it for 100$ and do the traxxas life time engine replacement plan you just got 195$ into it I bought my t-maxx for 186.50 and had to buy a new reciever, ez-start wand, and a battery, oh and a new motor may I add so that put it at about 320.00 and thats not gas or gp, or the tools. If your friend is an honest man and says that all you need to do is add gas and a gp and look at the motor then I would buy it but if he says you need other parts then I would think about it. If you do buy it tear the motor apart to see if it is just something simple like a bad wire, or something easy to fix. I was new to the nitro hobby I myself own a t-maxx 2.5 and I find them easy to run just don't trying tuneing them in the winter (20 degree whether) GOOD LUCK

bring it to a lhs to see if they can fix that problem and then compare the cost to a brand new truck.

yeah if its the pro.15 i would say nah but the 2.5 or 3.3 models are nicer and the motor can be replaced for 120 bucks depending on which motor u want
