Trying to decide if I want to convert my slash 4x4 vxl to an on road car. All the details and ideas I could get would be great. I bought it in the country now I live in the city.

I have wanted to build one of these since I saw it. But I am not sure if this body is even avalable anymore, or if it fits the 4x4 Slash. But it needs to be on the LCG chassis. This is pictured on a 2wd Slash.

Yup, it looks to be available, and the McAllister website looks to have lots of cool stuff. It seems they make these to order.

You can order them in 1mm or 2mm thicknesses 😁

Oh, and welcome to the forum 😉

Every once in a while we go to Meridian Speedway in Idaho to watch the Saturday night races and these are there sometimes. Awesome rigs to watch race.

Welcome in. Pull up a chair and stick around. You will get some awesome useful advice from these guys.

Bit of a story about Legends cars, but first...
A friend of mine in high school had a Dad like no other. He was BIG into RC by 1987 and already had a really cool RC track in the yard for their cars, one of which was a Kyosho Vanning. They were able to get that Vanning clocked by the West Terre Haute police department breaking 80mph.

His Dad also built the coolest RC car I have, or will have ever seen. It was roughly 4' long, had a home built fiberglass Mustang funny car body, and was a pulling car. The tires were off a riding mower and were sent to Tennessee to be cut just like the pro's. He also got the plans for the biggest name in pulling sleds back then and built one to perfect scale. The sled weighed 1200lb and the car pulled our 300lb Center from the football team in the box a full pull with ease.

Later, that friend's Dad became one of the pioneers in Legends car racing. He was a tool and die maker by trade, and an amazing machinist. A very talented guy.

That's awesome man. Meridian speedway is a really cheap good time. 9 times out of 10 we get free tickets from our local Toyota dealer because I bought my truck from them but when they are running Winged Sprints, we have to pay $12 each but the gates open at 4pm and run until about 11pm so its cheap all evening fun. They run several different categories of cars.

Always loved going to the track here to watch the sprints and modifieds. Some crazy drivers!

Welcome to RCT bud... it wouldn't be hard really.. what besides on road you looking to do??

In the early 70's, my dad was on a pit crew for his buddy's stock car, it was a dirt track and they ran stocks and sprints. Spent a lot of Saturday nights there. :)

We haven't been to the races lately but they are over for the season.
We also have Firebird Raceway drag racing we go to once in a while.

The chassis used for that doesn't look to be available anymore, unless they are hiding it on the ST Racing Concepts site.
Its discontinued. https://www.amainhobbies.com/st-rac...-kit-gun-metal-sptst6822gm/p-quqrtsuqhczxactz

To me it looks more of a bumper mount. If it is, alot can be done at home.

The reason I posted, is it seems the slash 4x4 chassis is the correct wheel base.
