It's hard to tell from the pictures, but they may have the chassis equipped with a 2.4 GHz radio system which uses very short antennae comparable to what is shown.
 
my step father uses a 3pk with spektrum had uses no ant on his truggie but she work and moves fine
 
Yeah Candyman every one loves a jokester.....lol. I run a Futaba 2.4 and the tubes are short enough to fit under the body
 
Just goes to prove that 'Size doesn't matter.' That should make you feel more secure, Candyman.

I have a 2.4 in one of my helis, and the Rx wire is barely 3".

By chance, would anyone happen to know how long the antenna on the Airtronics MX-3 FHSS system is?
