I am planing on buying some shocks, whats better, big bores or the $100 piggy back style. Also what is a good brand for a complete bearing set. Any advise would be appreciated......thanks.

traxxas big bores are great shocks. durable, very smooth, and affordable. not sure what piggy back style shocks you are talking about but if they are integy stay away from them. not sure about bearing kits. my old maxx could probably use one tho.

i have heard from alot of people that integrity is junk, do they have any good products i just dumped $300 bucks on a bunch of integrity parts....ouuuuuuuuuuuch

from what I've read on this forum their 3 shoe clutch and their roll cage are pretty good

its their aluminum parts that are bogus and their shocks stay away from integy shocks. the roll cage is good cuz its made from steel not aluminum and i had a integy spur gear that worked pretty good and but was also steel,, my advice and I'm sure a bunch of other peoples is jus simply stay away from integy products there is a lot of other brands out there that make better products just ask around on here these guys know what there talking about

From what I have read on this forum and others is that for the money traxxas bb's are the best bang for your buck, everybody says to go with better springs and oil though. i have seen some good deals on different shocks on ebay, but do your research on these kind of forums before you drop your hard earned cash on poor quality upgrades like integy. my lhs told me that integy is good for only one thing and that is looks! i dont necessarily want looks, i want something that is going to last and not bring me back to the lhs in another couple of weeks to buy something that i should of bought in the first place.;)

I have been running the Traxxas Big Bore Aluminums for years. Never blown one out and should have many times. :hehe:

I went threw fasteddys.com and got metal jacket bearings for a 3rd of the price as traxxas charge and as far as I can tell they are just as good no problems yet knock on would L.O.L.. The only thing you gotta do is go through your diagram sheets and write down what size bearings and how many. Because they go by size not what r/c you are driving.. free shipping after 20 bucks.. I bought all the bearings for my 3.3 Tmaxx, Classic rebuilt tmaxx, And my Emaxx for under a hundred bucks!!!!!!

I run the big bores with Rc raven springs. Love them. I use 70 weight oil. I jump my maxx more than anything and I have not had any issues with the bb's. If you bash, I would buy as much rpm stuff as possible. They have the best t maxx upgrades for bashers IMO. I jump my maxx at least 5-9 feet in the air and have not broken anything since using big bores and rpm.
