I searched for about an hour and turned up little talk of any shocks that did not involve changing the upper arms. I got the adjustable arms with the SS kit and I like them. I had the Hot Bodies shocks here until today when after a few massive jumps I snapped two of them and bent another. Now I see Hot Bodies has these High Performance shocks and was wondering whats so much better about them. The HB site never seems to have any info on anything they make.

I want shocks that can take the frequent thirty foot jump and don't mind the occasional meeting with a tree. Replacement parts would be nice so I don't need to buy 8 shocks every time I break one. I have read good and bad about Integy shocks so I am not sure on them. GPM...what's up with the day-glow yellow??? I know looks aren't everything but with a truck that the maincolor scheme is black, silver and purple, where does day-glow yellow fit in? So what's good?

I can't recommend any shocks to you but I will recommend some new springs for whatever shocks you do decide to go with. I run the stock shocks w/ these Triple Rate Springs and they work great. I've hit 20-25 ft jumps w/ no problems. The springs start out w/ a 3lb rating, and as they compress they get to a 7lb rating.

This design works great and will help absorb some of the impact from your trucks landing. Thus, taking some of the pressure off your shock shafts and other parts. Don't let their price fool you. They work like a champ. Simply slide them onto whatever shocks you decide to go with. So far, it's one of the best $10 I've spent for my truck.

They come in black or purple. Here's a link:

To Doggie: Have you used either of them? How much abuse can they take?

To DL: I will look into those also.

I use those HPI alum ones, but I have yet to abuse them though... They came up with those after seeing the things that happened to shocks in last year's Savage Slam (lots of broken HB alum shocks). So I think they know what they're doing...
Anyways, 20ft jump is like 2 stories high O_o, maybe I should get on the roof of the house and drop the Savage... (but I'm worried I might break the Truckzilla rims)

Here's a pic of HPI abusing their Savage. It looks like a 25ft jump, landing on concrete! I think they're using stock shocks though.

DL: I'll try those springs too. Thanks for the link :D

Correction: Oh, you said 30ft jump^^; My house isn't high enough then...

You might want to try 1/8 scale rear buggy shocks. Something like the Ofna 9.5's Buggy's, have the best suspension and some of the smoothest shocks ever. With 3.5mm shafts, I don't think you are going to beand them, unless you can't drive! Anyway, that is my .02

Integy Shocks? The ones with the piggybanks are good but the shafts bend easily. It was posted on the forum about them so search them and he did get replacement stronger shafts from integy i believe.
