Well, I'm looking for a set-up that will make my T-Maxx stiff. I hate the sag all the freakin time. Its a 4x4 and I want it to sit like one. As of now, I have stock shocks with higher rate springs, but she still sags. I want it to where if it does squat then she'll come right back up. Any suggestions?

Thanks

You might want to consider changing the oil in the shocks and going with a heavier weight. I'm running 50w in my shocks, with red springs and 3 spacers on each. Seems pretty stiff 2 me. I drop it on the floor and it comes right back ride height.

I have the exact same problem! When fully extended, the bad boy sits NICE, kinda looks like an angry rodent LOL! But (especially in the rear) if I push down on the chassis, it just sits there – probably a good three inches from full extension. It looks like a vato-mobile, sagging in the rear LOL! I’m sure the shocks are shot, I was going to look into new ones or heavier oil; thanks for the advice, I think you helped two (or more) of us with one answer, there! :)

i just recently bought a set or RC Ravens dual rate springs and they are def stiffer than stock and my truck comes right back up with no problem at all. I am still using the stock oil that has been in there for over 2+ years too. (though i should prob put new oil in)

Hey I have my T-maxx 3.3 ext chassis set up with the big bore shocks, RPM 2 stage shock pistons, and stock red shocks with 1 fat spacer on each rear shock and one half fat spacer on each front with the stock oil and I have a pretty heavy roll cage from rollcage city and i can drop mine from 4ft and shocks spring right back to ride height the thing that made a difference to me was the pistons yeah you have to sand them down a little to fit the big bores but, once i got them in the difference in decompression stage of shocks was alot faster than any of the stock pistons no matter what I tried so just a suggestion.

i just redid my shocks with a 60 wt shock oil. when i drowned the old out it was black as nite. only run it for a month. alot stiffer but had to preload the stock spings. want to replace the spring soon.:D

also get some kind of two-stage piston. it will dampen good but rebound fast

Yup if you want it to sit higher you will need heavier oil but keep this in mind, it will rebound slower. Now for the springs I don't know but I do know you can load up on the shock spacers.
