i know and understand that most of the time that the stock shocks arent up to par so i would like to make sure when i get my traxxas stampede, i want to have some good shocks on it so i can do some bashing i wanted to know what you guys had for ideas or experences in the shocls on the market and what should i be getting or looking into getting along with tires thanks

Big bores and powerstrokes are going to be the better ones right off the bat, but the stock ones with Tini shafts, aluminum caps and heavier oil are actually pretty good. They also have people throwing 1/8 buggy shocks on them. I would just run it as is and then try a heavier oil first. Good luck and keep us posted

thanks and ill keep posted and u have any links to get someof these things in my arsenal

The alum caps and different wt oils are good to play with but you can also look at different bladders as well. Going 3 hole or 2 hole instead of 1 will give you a different performance and theres plenty of different springs available for a softer/stiffer setup as well. A couple $ will make your stock 1's perform along the same level as some aftermarket 1's

coule anyone help me with some part numbers or some links to some good stiff shocls i have a little cash to spend so if someone could shoot me some links to tires as well it would be greatly appreciated

What kind of tires are you looking for? Here will you be doing most of the driving?

well i wanna do mostly offroading but i do occasionally wanna hit some ramps and mayeb a track once in a blue moon but looking or something that wont baloon up on me and u have anything for shocks go as far as the stampede 4x4 goes?

Go to the traxxas website and then your trucks page, look to the left and click accessories, that will give you all the accessories from traxxas. For the proline shocks go to their website, they also have the good tires, look at the Desperados or Dirt Hawgs. Either way it'll be better to not get them pre-mounted and then you can tape them to prevent ballooning.

Actually bladders are what go on the top of the shock before you put the cap on. You're actually talking about pistons that go on the shafts.
