When I bought my Maxx the guy included some aluminum shock towers with it. Well since I cracked my front stock shock tower (temp fixed w cable ties) I figured I'd go aread and put them on. Well I ran into a problem. I have no shock standoffs. I went to my LHS and they said that I'd have to order them from the manufacturer. Well I really don't want to order anything. I'd really like to be able to run my maxx this weekend. Anyone ever make these or find a good sustitute. Do they have to be threaded? If not I was thinking if I can probably find a bushing or something at a hardware store that I can run a log screw through. Maybe even a few nuts run together to make them. Any ideas or help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance...... Oh BTW the these are the towers (Hybrid race prophile) http://www.2coolrc.com/Model_T-Maxx/towers.html

Use the ummm, poop I can't remember their name, but they go in the turnbuckle rod ends. Stack 2 of them behind the shock. Works great for me.

do you run one long screw for each pair of shocks? Any pics? Thanks again

Yes, one long skrew with a nut for two shocks. Sorry, no pix. Just put 2 behind each shock.
