RC Driving Style
hey guys,
I'm trying to adjust teh springs on my stock 2.5 shocks. When I hit a bump my back end flies up higher than the from, and I have no clips in the springs. I lowered my height a bit and added sway bars, but I would like to know if I should put more clips on the front or back. I would like a little more bounce in my ride, and I would like to go go nose up off of bumps. Any suggestions. For now I would like to limit modifications to the use of the tension clips.
Thanks.

If you go off a jump and you back is high then peg the throttle, if you go off a jump and your front is high hit the brakes.

What is a good preload, and how do I make adjustments from there. When I was talking about bumps I didn't mean jumping high. I'm ok with controlling the torque in the air. I just need help with the suspension responding to bumps like curbs and driveways.
Thanks.

What do you mean by "repsoning" Is it too stiff right now? Do you need it more "Plush"?

I am totally not communicating well here.
I would like the fron end to come up more than the back end when I hit a bump. as it is now I don't have any clips in the springs, and when I hit a bump (not a jump) the front seems to absorb it, and the back seems to bottom out and almost flips the truck forward. I think it has to do with the weight in the back, but I don't know if I need to stiffen the fron or back with clips to correcxt the problem.
Sorry for my lack of proper terminology. I am in this hobby all by myself, and I don't know the real terms for most parts or performance.

I think that you need to use a little bit higher viscosity of shock oil and see if that helps slow down the suspension's compression and rebound in the rear, that might help reduce the bounce and keep it from bottoming out. Stock is 30 wt., I would try to go to 40 wt. and see if that helps.

It's ok man, i was there once too... we all were... Ok, sounds to me like the front is too soft for your liking.. Try putting in the biggest clip in 2 of the front shocks... See how it works out...

thanks .21
I'll try that as soon as I get home. As with most problems I have I caused this myself. I started messing with the clips and ended up no remembering the stock setup. I had it way to stiff so i took all of them off. I have to say though that the sway bars have really helped keep 4 on the floor for me. I got mixed reviews when I asked about them before, but I think they were definitely worth 20 bucks.
They just put new asphalt on the street in front of my house, and the power slides are great!
