i know i am kinda being a pain but i am getting into stuff i havent had to do. i am going to change the oil in my shocks is there any thing that i should look to inspect for wear. and the oil looked really dirty is there any thing to help keep dirt off of shock rods? and how should i clean inside before adding new oil? thanks for all the help, you guys are much more usefull than the manual.lol

you could get shock socks. or balloon them. to check for wear just see if any grooves were made in the wall and if the shafts are bent. other than that your good

where can i get those shock socks? i need them as well.

I would definately go with Outerwears Shock Socks because I just bought a pair from GSHobby.com for $17.95 and trust me they were worth every penny !;):D

Definately go with the Outerwears Shock Socks, I just bought a set myself......"just make sure you get them wet before you try to put them on so that it helps stretch them because it takes a little bit of work to get them on".

Actually, you don't have to get them wet as I found out from Outerwears that I got the wrong size;)....so they are going to send me out a replacemant set as of Monday April 4th.:D

The Outerwares are really good but I also like like the BadHorsie shock covers as well. that is what I have on my Baja and they are great. Daves Discount Motors carries them. He ships pretty quick as well.
