i got the tc4 and noticed at least one of the shocks is leaking, and the springs dont extend the shocks all the way out. so I'm thinking instead of rebuilding the plastic ones i should go with some aluminum adjustable ones.

so what are some good ones to get? i dont want to break the bank, but i want a decent set.

i see alot on ebay, but i dont know what are quality and what arent.

any help?

also what oil weight should i go with?

I like that last one posted above.

For springs, you want to run hard-medium in the front and medium-soft in the rear. I have no idea what hard is for Associated springs (Measured by weight), but I run the blue springs all around. I have threaded shocks, so I run the front shocks tighter a bit. Here's a link to all the Associated springs. http://67.199.85.166/main/maincategory.php?category=3101dxxxxx&brand=assoc&nav=on1.10nav If your car bounces while you drift, go with a softer spring. If it bottoms out during drifting, or it bounces off of things on rough surfaces, use harder springs.

For shock oil weight, 35wt is a good start.

well being a pack rat saved me some $$ yesterday. I still had some stuff in my pit box from my rs4 and from my rc10gt, and a partial bottle of 35w oil. i was able to rebuild that leaking shock using the rebuild kit for the 10gt (same size o-rings) and use the spacers from the rs4 parts tree to get the car all the way up. Its so much more fun to drive now. not nearly as much sickening scraping on the ground. and will even go pretty good in the grass (whoops!!)

so far i am really happy with it, at stock level. i would recommend this car to anyone. I will be putting the nomadio in soon, and maybe changing out the steering servo.
