So when you over tighten the shifting set screw you won't shift into second. When you undertighten it you never use first.

Now to find the happy medium!

It wont take you long to figure it out just make sure you don't over tighten
It..That happened to me when I first started and it would never shift until i replaced the piece Its just kinda a pain to do but its cheap part to replace if needed.

I think I did over tighten the screw but I am not sure. When I first put in the Picco Maxx I seemed to be stuck in first gear. Popping wheelies at quarter throttle and the like but as breakin progressed and I applied more throttle I never heard the shift. I backed the screw most of the way out and it seemed to go completely the other way. I am stuck in second gear but with the picco that isn't really an issue I have all kinds of horse power to get me around the track. I have been turning the screw back in a little at a time with no results. Seems that I may have to get a new part. I guess while I'm in there I should put in some close ration gearing too. Just kind of wierd.

its kind of hard to tell when it shifts into second gear, i usually go slow and catch speed lil by lil then i see and hear the shift.

you might be too rich also, when thats the case you wont shift into second gear, try checking taht out before messign with the shift point too much.

I checked the needles and I seem to be doing fine as far as mixture.
