Okay so I was bored so I drove my blown up 2.5 and it would shift to second is that becuase the motor is blown up or what? I tryed adjusting my shift point to a earlier shift but it didn't change it much. I would appreciate and response.

Your gonna have to be a LOT clearer in order for us to help.

If the motor is broken how are you using it?

Were you having a problem with 2nd gear? you say it works so whats the problem?

No the motor is blown up but it still runs just has no get up and go and has no balls. I would get it up to what sounded like the shifting point it would take me a lot longer then it would with a not blown up motor but only once and a while would it actually shift into second. I hope that helps.

That still makes no sence. sounds like you have a badly tuned engine. Start over at factory settings.

A blown motor doesn't run. a poorly tuned motor runs badly.

Get the engine running properly, then worry about shifting. (will probably fix itself)

he prob means that the mill is bad like lack of compression or ran to lean thats what happend to mine it run for 5mins then quite

The motor just has no low end power or high end and I have the idle screw turned all the way in and also have the throttle trim turned up a little just so it will run for about 15 seconds after I let off the throttle. If I turn the throttle trim to the correct place it should be the motor just shuts off the second I let of the throttle. After the first gallon I put into the motor it really hasn't ran rite. I have allready got another 2.5 coming but if I can get the rest of the gallon I have through the motor I allready have I would be happy. When I tore the motor dowm the bottom of the sleeve had a bunch of dents in it; also when I went to look at the compression I had to push a little bit but I could get it to be flush with the top of the sleeve. I hope this information helps you guys to help me know what is going on with my engine.

Return everything to factory settings. And throw a glow plug at it for good measure. There is plenty of life left in it if it only has 1 gallon through it. (assuming you didnt destroy it by running lean)

Of coarse it wont run with the idle closed.

Your compensating with the throttle, but as soon as you let off the throttle or hit the brakes it will die.

RETURN ALL SETTINGS TO FACTORY, then post again.

No its got about 21/2 gallons through it; it started to run bad after the first gallon. The second gallon it allways seemed to be over heating and such.

ya your engine is prob shot thats what my last one did. no matter how rich it was it still over heated
