Hey Guys I have a problem with my new Revo3.3. It's broken in with about 12 tanks on it but whatever I do it won't shift into second gear. I was out this afternoon trying to adjust the HSN and LSN correctly. The HSN I believe is set correctly. It has a nice trail of blue smoke with temps around 200 or so. It takes off like a bullet but when it hits the shiftpoint at high RPM it shutters and dies immediately. I've tried adjusting the LSN every which way to no avail... The tranny has not been touched so the settings are still from stock. Should I try adjusting the tranny so it shifts sooner or maybe the HSN is still too lean? I don't think this involves the HSN but I don't know. Can anyone out there give me an answer? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:)

Didnt you say in your other thread that you lowered your shift point to shift sooner...???

Yeah, I did by mistake. Actually, I have never touched the tranny at all. Oops, sorry for the confusion...

Why did you start another thread about the same issue? And the HSN has everything to do with shifting. You say its running at 200. That in my exp is not the operating temp for a 3.3. Get it up to 230-250ish then see what it does. The LSN should have nothing to do with the shifting. You do not need to touch the lsn till you have the hsn set correctly because you will have to readjust the lsn if you change the hsn to much get it correct. Go back to factory and not mess with the lsn till you get the hsn set.

I have leaned it out more in the past so I will lean it out more. However, when I had it at a higher temp it still wouldn't shift into second...The tranny has never been touched to shift sooner. Should I try it or try something else??

I will do that. Thanks a million:)

Honestly I sayin the same thing but 100% of the time for me when my Revo wont shift its my Tune...

You did say its a new Revo... Is this your first Nitro..??

I 3rd what they are saying. Mine like to be on the hotter side also to shift good. Did you change tires or anything?

i 4th the tune, i still call myself a newbie on nitro's
go back to factory break in settings dont touch the LSN until the HSN in correct. it will shift correctly when you have it in tune
mine runs around 270 degree's

Almost every Revo 3.3 I've ever seen likes to run between 270 and 280*. They do like to run at temps that cause other engines to fail. Go ahead and reset the needles to factory and retune the engine as the others have said and usually this will fix the problem of not shifting.
