I bought my LST2 on ebay, and it seems when it's running, it doesn't shift into 2nd gear.....I reset the shifting points in case they weren't the same, and that didn't fix the problem. It just seems to wind out in first and never shift into 2nd. Before I start tearing it apart I was wondering if this is common or if there's a quick fix to it. The LST2 is only a week old total.....and the owner before said he never had it in 2nd gear either.

Take out the 2speed shoes and check them for binding. They should come appart with a moderate effort. Sometimes the adjustment screws threads bind in the shoes, not letting them engage.

well how long have you had it? are you still breaking it in? have you tuned it? if you are still breaking in your motor or tuning it... then it would shift till you are done with these stages.

Thanks for the info

Well the LST2 is only about 3 weeks old...replaced the motor with a picco .27......and yes i'm still in the process of breaking it in...it's still running very rich...it's had about 6 tanks through it...and I'm just now starting to lean it out some. I'm probably going to look into the shoes tonight and see what I find.....It very well may be the fact that it's not broken in yet, but I'm getting to the point now where I'm getting the rpms up there pretty high...still not at complete full throttle yet...but close...and figured it would have shifted at that high of an rpm. to be continued.......

All good

after severely tuning the engine....and adjusting the shifting point in it some....all is now well.....that damn picco .27 is quite the engine indeed after fine tuning it. now just have to get it out on the track...I've almost gotten it completely alluminum now and got the gravedigger body for it...now gotta get it out on the track

remember that there is a High/Lo gear selector. FOr future reference, you can play with that for different purpose bashing or even racing. Glad to hear it is running.

yeah I won't deal with the low selector all that much...mostly going to use it for racing......but I've put so much damn money into it already I'm afraid to get it dirty...lol

LMFAO! It isn't worth getting a RC if you make em shelf queens. Got to play with them.. break em... wrench em. Sometimes even buy upgrades too! I run mine to get better stuff later. LOL

oh I hear ya....I've had my XXXNT for a couple years and upgraded when I needed....figured hell might as well get the upgrading done now...and use the original parts for spares....plus we've had nothing but rainy weekends so I get pissed....and end up going to the hobby store and buying stuff to make me feel better....and don't worry one bit....it's not even gonna be close to a shelf queen....it just looks nice now....for now...not for long...lol

got any pics of her? mine just went through a bash and then left it a few days then realized there was damage. LOL parts are ordered so its just a matter of time.

oh I can have pics of it up in a few minutes I would imagine...have the camera right here by my side
