k well i finally decided today that i'am gonna get the SH .28 engine.........but before i do i had some questions about the SH .28 before i got it.
1) Which kind of fuel and nitro precent works best with SH .28's?
2) which exaust works well with it?
3) is tunning hard?
4)is break in hard?
5)which glow plug works best with the Sh .28
6) what is a good gearing combo for the SH .28?
That is it.............for right now that is. i want to be prepared for when i get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance,
PEACE,
MARK

30% O'donnel

I like Novarossi/RB exuasts

Temp gun makes tunning very easy. Either way it shouldnt be hard. The manual provides enough info for setup. Once its setup you take it from there.

I would follow the heat cycle method. I'm sure you can find out more info on it if you do a search.

I would use a medium heat plug.

thanks! i got a temp gun, and medum plug, i just need 30% O'donnel fuel, and the actual engine. what temp do they run best at?
wtf is the heat cycle method?
thanks again!!!

The heat cycle method From the very 1st time you start your engine, plop the car on the
ground & begin running it in a parking lot in 2-3 minute intervals,
tuned only *slightly rich* getting the temps up in the 200F range on a
normal day. Every 2-3 minutes, shut the engine down & let it cool
completely with the piston at BDC, and then fire it back up; continue
this cycle until you've run 15 min or so, and then bump up to 3-4
minute intervals. Vary the RPM and don't be afraid to get the temps
in the 200's. What you want is heat cycling of the components without
the incredible stress that comes with breaking an engine in when it's
overly rich & cold. After cycling the engine in this manner for about
20-25 total minutes, it'll be ready for the track and race tuning.
for gearing I suggest either 18/47 or 18/49

Break it in at around 200F and when its fully broken in run it around 220-240F.
