i have used the search and cann0ot find where to buy a sh.28 for the best price if you could please link me to some places with good pricing and shipping racing starts in like 56 days and i can't wait to fire up a new mill:banana:

if your looking into the SH.28
research a little and check out the STS .28
thye say they are way better then the SH and you can pick it up off ebay really reasonable ,
i got mine for 115 shipped

Just a warning….Do some more research guys. I know a few guys who had run a SH .21 and SH .28 and have blow rods. Just be careful when breaking it in. I only know one guy s who has one that has lasted over 2 gallons.

I have read the STS is a good engine as well, but I haven't seen one myself.

Jbone if you would have done some research before posting you would have read that the problem has been fixed, and SH will warrenty any problem engines that are still out there.

vbgagnon your right i have heard they fixed it as well and on savage-central there is a 60+ page thread just about the STS.28 and i ahve not heard a bad thing about them www.racernine.com sells them and races them also ,that was the main reason i bought the sts, wannarunem has ran both the sh and the sts if i am not mistaken maybe he will chime in here

Thats right racin..I have ran those mills...Both are good enigines. The SH 28 had a conrod issue which..like said above..that problem I believe has been resolved.

thats what I'm looking for if i were to choose witch is better sts 28 or sh.28 in the end i willlet all you know what i go with

Hobby People recalled the SH engine for a while. Told everyone to run them, if they broke send em back. http://globalservices.globalhobby.com/globalforum/viewtopic.php?t=13089

Most of the posts were made in July of last year. I'm not trying to talk you out of one. Really isn't anything negative in the post. In my opinion if Hobby People are selling it again, the problem was resolved. Never had a problem ordering from there. Just my 2 cents.

Sorry to piss in your cheerios. The last word I heard was "they were talking about fixing them", not that they have. Now that they have released upgraded one, good for you. I usually don't research things I'm not going to buy!! Sorry to throw a flag of caution and save a user the frustration.
I have yet to see one of the new ones, but the old ones ran ok till they broke.

from doing research before buying my STS .28 i read thru alot of threads and posts and the biggest draw back from the SH .28 was 90% of the ppl that had bought 1 had problems with the connecting rod ,thye stated that the compression was so high that it would break them on run in ,so they just purchased a second rod for after break in .
