Setup help

I finally got around to getting my Slash going, but when I turn on the ESC with the motor hooked up it just beeps and beeps and beeps. The setup is a VXL motor MMP ESC aqnd a DX3S radio.

I've charged the battery (3S 3000Mah)- Tried all Esc to motor wiring combination's. I set the Esc to default settings.

It's got me stumped.

You might need to adjust your trim on your radio. It might be low or high enough that if it the esc were to arm that it would send power to reverse or forward. So slowly adjust it while waiting for it to arm.

Thanks for the response. I tried that and a 27 mhz radio but still just get beeping. I also tried setting the esc to do a motor test but got nothing with that as well.

I called tech support and was told its a bad ESC.

That sucks. But is not suprising. I have no idea how many esc's I've been through. Check on RCShortCourseTalk.com too and there might be a used velinion or simular on there someone pulled from their rig.

What gets me is that it was brand new. I bought it in July but just took it out of the box and never got to run it.

Welcome to the electric world I've had lots of new stuff be defective.
