Set advice (ADVICE WANTED)

Well just got my XTM X-celerators in and the stock motors are done old and slow so I'm going to go with a brush none lipo set up .

here is what I'm going to be ordering if all go's well with some advice from you guys :thumbup1:

1. Traxxas XL-10 Electronic Speed Control

2. Losi Cell 3600mAh 7.2V NiMH Performance Battery .

3. traxxas 12t 550 motor .

best bang for your bucks to make decent power i think

do you guys have any other suggestions before i order ?

Although that 12t 550 will make good power the longevity of those things are just terrible, as far as a brushed equivalent I am not sure since when I got tired of replacing them I went straight to brushless.

There are some great brushless alternatives on hobbycity.com that you could find.

The best bang for the buck brushed option would be to buy a newer slash/rustler/bandit and harvest the electronics, then sell the roller and you'll likely make out a lot cheaper than buying the same components individually. People do this all the time, and it's a win-win as some people would rather buy a new roller than replace a couple parts for the same money. On the other side of that coin, someone may have bought a kit for the roller, and are selling the stock electronics so you may find a good deal online form someone who has done this.

Well i went ahead and got the 12t motor and ran it with a bigger pinion gear and it made amazing power ! very fast ran it for 3 hours at the track no problems what so ever and the heat is very minimum so that is also a plus :thumbup1:

next I'm going to be getting the esc and the battery pack i will post up video .

Just got back from LRH track and it turned out to be one good track day i spoiled my XTM more then my BLITZ today i was running a 4500MaH battery pack and it was crazy fast ! really good chassis to mod i guess you can say I'm in love with XTM ! :thumbup1:
