Can you get stronger servos and how do i upgrade the servo battery on the car and how much will they cost and last is it hard to install, i know its a lot of questions but your info would be appreciated.

Good questions.

I upgraded my T-MAXX 2.5 steering servo to a Hitch HS645MG, this sucker makes 107 Oz/Inch torque at 6 Volts!
Another thing I did was upgrade to an alloy steering bellcranks with bearings, a Kimborough 1/8th servo saver and slapped an RCRAven alloy servo guard over the servo.

I took the Traxxas 2055 (original) steering servo and used that for the throttle/brake function, as the Traxxas 2018's suck.

My MAXX runs BLiND MAXX-PAX 6 Volt NiMh brick packs. My record is four tanks on a pack!
I have two of these MAXX-PAX, as I usualy make a day of running the MAXX.

Now my MAXX actually steers at low speed, the difference is like night and day.
 
Cool, how much would a setup like that, give or take a little, cost?
And is it difficult to change the power setup to the blind maxx pax and installing the hitch steering servo and changing the regular steering servo to the throttle and brake servo?please elaborate, I'm a roast baste me!

Costs

As I no not reside within the U.S.A., I couldn't give you a relaistic dollar pricing, as things are priced a little differently (and higher) here on the Island.

The HS645MG actually makes 133.3 Oz/inch torque, the rating I supplied in the first Post was its 4.8V rating.

You can get this from Servo City who offer free shipping within the U.S.

Servo savers can also be found at Servo City, click this link and you will see one desicbed as perfect for T-MAXX

The Servo Guards can be bough from Ebay, I only chose the one I have because I have dealt with the seller before and he had exactly what I needed - as is mine is black in color.

As for the MAXX-PAX, you will need to contact BLiND Batteries and they will give you a price, these packs are made to order, not quite a fast moving item.

I hooked mine to the MAXX using a Micro Connector (a-la Micro RS4) for convenience, as I always remove it from the MAXX when charging on my peak charger.

Mondo hit the nail on the head. The HS 5645MG by Hitec is my servo of choice for steering. can't beat it for value and power.

You dont have to have a hump pack (6v 5 cell) to run them, BUT, you will not get the full power bennefit if you dont.
 
ok, let me get this straight so this stuff i wouldnt have a problem installing and connecting the new battery to the new servo and to the second old steering servo now connected to the throttle/brake. Because i know nothing about the wiring and connectors and stuff. Plus is the new servo hard to install? and would i need more wiring and this ciro connector I've looked for and can't find.

i did exactly the same thing mondo did and it works great. but i think i need a stronger servo saver to take advantage of all the torque. mine is a GS racing servo saver and isn't quite as stiff as i would like

i was thinking about an Airtronics servo. they are nice but way too expensive
 
Installing servos

If you are unfamiliar with working on RC cars & trucks, your local hobby shop can always undertake the installation on your behalf.
Alternatively, hook upo with a local RC club, there are always plenty of helping hands willing to aid you in your quest for perfect steering.

Removing the old servo and installing the servo will require no cutting or soldering.
You will have to center the steering servo though.
The battery connector will require some pruning and soldering, so if you are not confifent to do this yourself, see a hobby shop.

All in all, the labor for this type of work should not cost too much, just be sure that the hobby shop know their way around RC cars/trucks - perhaps the hobby shop where you purchased your MAXX.
