I Just installed a venom smart temp on my 3.3. both my steering and throtle servos twitch. and my distance is only about 1/2 what it used to be I do have the opti drive and reverse on my Revo could that be an issue..... PLEASE HELP!!!!!

the smart temp or the fail safe, smart temp combo thing? the smart temp should not have anything to do with it seeing how it just probes the head.

check absolutely every bit of servo wire for knicks or cuts, check your battery switch leads, and also check your antenna wire for cuts or knicks.

check all of your connections, and check the connectors them selves, maybe a wire has come loose or a prong has popped out of the plug.

+1 he beat me to it lol

i have the smart temp and it does the same thing and i have spektrum. i tried everything and just got fed up and threw it away. Also called venom and they said it isnt possible with a spektrum?

Wow, I had exactly the same problem.

I just threw it away too, and use a temp gun and make sure the throttle return spring is in good condition.

Total waste of money...

A fail-safe is never a waste of money. One time of having your rig run over by a passing car, and you will understand what I mean. If you have a Spektrum, it has a built-in fail-safe.

I HAD the vemon too. Same crap, no rang and servo twitch. I tried it with and with out the opti drive. Put an Ofna fail save and got a temp gun. No more rang or servo trubble. Anyone want to buy a venom?

Found this searching for what the heck to do with my smart temp, anybody found a solution to this. I returned the first one and now the second is doing it in short order.
THANKS

I had decent range with a Futaba 3PM radio with a smart temp failsafe. but, it would twitch all the servos like crazy when it went into fail safe mode. It worked fine for me, other than that. I would never run any nitro without a failsafe of some sort. I loved the OFNA one due to it's size and ease of use. it just didn't have to temp monitor.
