I've got the savage ruunin' vantastic(after the air leak fix) and I'm startin' to fine tune for performance. My simple question is this - what servo/receiver, servo saver upgrade is the fix. I've just built a track and if the truck gets hung up on the berm, down the front(fast) straight, it won't turn left into corner No. 1. Will the upgrade that came in the kit help, or do I need to spend some money - servos, servo savers and whatnot. I've got the 3º camber installed BTW.

Will both of the 645mg work on the savage? On tower there is a servo S and J? those are different types of connector ends right?

yeah thats talking about the connetor ends i think for the futaba raidos you need the j connector

thanx savage18ss - will that servo marry to the radio gear that HPI supplied as part of the RTR kit ?

order the 1 that has thw red/white/black wires on it ,i do not know my connectors but i know thats the 1 you need ,
it come in 2 colors like you s and j
the other 1 is colored red/yelllow/brown
hopefuly i am right Xing my fingers lol

i have a 645 on my savage and it works great but you need a hump pack to get the most out of it.. i just recently installed the cam servo saver and the stearing moves alot freer but i havent drivin it yet to see how much of a diference there is..

if your running stock tires then stiffer foams help alot to.. i used the traxxas racing foams that have stiff outer rings and a softer inner ring.. also lowing the truck a bit helps on the cornering

what humpack are you using? and whats a good servo for throttle/brake that will work with the stock radio?

I use a Futaba R133F Rx, Futaba S3305 HD for steering, and a Futaba S3003 for throttle/brake and reverse. I run an Ofna hump pack and an Ofna MP servo saver. I have been using this setup for a very long time and I have no problems with it.

i got a www.onlybatterypacks.com hump pack and i like it for the charge lead.. you can cut a hole in the side of the radio cover and slip the plug through it.. so you would have to open it up to charge the battery. anyone that has a savage will comfirm that the radio box is a pita.. so not haveing to open it is a good thing.. i use a 645 for my t/b also but thats just because thats what i had.. its optimal to use a faster servo for t/b like a hitec 625 but man are my brakes good with that 645!!
