What are the best servo savers out there that you can get. I just put a Hitec digital super torque steering servo on my Maxx and I went through 3 plastic ones so far.
 
Kimbrough makes some great servo-savers. I use them with my HiTec digital servos. On the T-Maxx, I suggest getting your hands on the ProLine steering set-up with built in servo saver. That is probably the best solution. With the money you have laid out on busted servo-savers to-date, you are almost one third of the way towards buying one anyways.
 
Thanks for the link but is that plastic. I just dont want to spend $40 on that and turn around and end up stripping it out. I am looking at my servo right now and the metal gear that sticks out of the servo where the servo saver screws into is stripped. Is that maybe why I am stripping out the plastic savers because it aint getting tighten down good enough. Since it stripped can I tap it out or is my servo ruined.
 
LOL...trust me, you will not be disappointed with this set-up. Ask around on the site, and everyone who runs one will tell you that it is the way to go. I have not heard one negative thing about it.

As for the stripping of the other servo savers, I would have to ask if you are using the right one for your servo. Each servo saver either comes with an adapter sprocket for a particular flavor of servo (HiTec, Airtronics, Futaba, etc) or is specifically made to match a particular flavor of servo.

As for the servo being ruined, I would say that you can try and get a replacement gear for the servo from the manufacturer or you could get a new servo. Many servo makers have replacement parts, you just need to find them.

The way the ProLine system works is:
1. Replaces the plastic steering posts with metal posts.
2. It replaces most of the steering linkage system.
3. Steering servo saver is built into one of the steering posts. Thus you simply use a normal steering horn on the servo. Connect the linkage from the steering horn to the servo saver post and go.

This is a rock solid kit.

The only not-perfect thing I've noticed about the ProLine saver is that the thumbnut that's used to adjust the spring tension seems to back itself off over time, giving you the mushy steering.

I tried putting some preload spacers from the shocks around that post between the chassis and the thumbnut but it's kind of a sloppy fit.

I've put a small dab of blue loctite in one spot on the threads to see how that works in keeping that nut in place.

Other than that, the saver is excellent.
