Servo reversing....

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if reversing a servo has any ill affects to the servo itself? I installed the servo the right way... well I installed it so that the cords were going in the right direction so that I could get them into the reciever box. In order to get the throttle to open with the trigger depresed, and the brakes to engage when the trigger was pushed forward I had to reverse the servo. Is this ok, or do I need to reinstall the servo? Thanks guys.

You know I was not sure, so I figured I would ask. I have never had to reverse a servo before and I imagine that is why they built that function in, so that when you installed your servo you could get it to do what you need it to. Thanks Revo.

All you should have had to do was flip the switch on your radio. If thats all you did, then that will have no ill affects on the servo what-so-ever. Thats what its there for.

Servo reversing, in theory (correct me if I'm wrong) is done in the radio, before the signal even goes out. The radio simply tells the servo to move backwards instead of forwards.

Well, since the radio is digital I did not have to throw a switch. LOL Thanks for the info, I just wanted to be sure. Thanks again guys.
