I have a GS Storm 1/8 scale buggy with a stock XR2 servo that has 50oz of torque at .22 (6v) and it won't hold the tires straight if I land in a way that would turn my tires to one way really quickly, making me have to remove the arm of the servo and fix it. The arm on the servo isn't loose at all, it's a squeeze to even get it on there. I am assusing it's on the inside of the servo. I am looking to replace it with a Hitec 605BB #31605 which has twice the torque at 94oz at .13 (6v) for $30 but there is one with metal gears (645MG #32645) for $10 and I don't want to spend that much. How well do nylon gear hold up for a racing 1/8 nitro buggy? Should I be worried if I get the nylons instead of the metal gears?

Get the 645MG. So many people use it for good reason. If you have a 6V battery you get 129oz of torque!!

Man, it looks pretty temping. I think I might. :hehe: but then I'll only have $15 left :( I could get that new Krylon fusion and paint all my plastic parts on my car :D
